This Privacy Policy explains how the Flagged app ("Flagged", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. Flagged is an entertainment app that reads a WhatsApp chat export you choose and produces a playful "verdict" about the conversation dynamic. By using Flagged you agree to this policy.
Flagged has no user accounts. There is no registration, sign-in, password, or profile. We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number, and we do not create a personal account for you. We do not track you across apps or websites and do not use the App Tracking Transparency framework for tracking.
You start an analysis by importing a WhatsApp chat export (a .txt file you
create with WhatsApp's "Export Chat → Without Media"). Flagged reads and parses that file
entirely on your device. From it, the app computes aggregate statistics
about the conversation. The actual text of your messages, the names of the people in
the chat, and any phone numbers never leave your device. We do not operate a server
that receives or stores your chat, and we do not save your imported file after the analysis.
Flagged can use a third-party artificial-intelligence service to write a smarter, more specific verdict. This happens only if you give explicit permission on the in-app consent screen shown before the analysis. If you decline, Flagged generates the verdict entirely on your device using a built-in rule-based engine and nothing is sent off your device.
If you allow the AI verdict, the app sends only anonymous, aggregate statistics over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.) so it can generate the verdict. Specifically, the data sent is:
The data is identified only as "You" and "Them". It does not include any message text, contact names, phone numbers, or any other content that could identify a real person. OpenAI processes this data solely to return the verdict for your request. Under OpenAI's stated API data-usage policy, data submitted through the OpenAI API is not used to train or improve OpenAI's models by default, and is retained only for a limited period (OpenAI states up to 30 days) for abuse and misuse monitoring before deletion. These practices are governed by OpenAI's own policies, which may change. OpenAI acts as our data processor and is required to provide protection for this data that is comparable to the protection described in this policy. We use the result only to display your verdict inside the app. We do not store the statistics or the verdict on any server of ours, and we do not sell or share this data with anyone other than OpenAI for the purpose described above.
The full report is available through an auto-renewing subscription. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat identifies your subscription using an anonymous, randomly generated app-user identifier that is not linked to your real-world identity. We and RevenueCat receive purchase and subscription status from Apple (for example, whether your subscription is active) but not your Apple ID password or full payment card details. RevenueCat acts as our service provider for subscription management and is required to protect this data with safeguards comparable to those described in this policy. The subscription transactions themselves are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.

choose; it does not browse or upload anything else.Flagged does not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, or browsing history, and does not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not build any profile of you or the people in your chats.
Flagged is for fun. Its verdicts, "red flags", and scores are generated from message statistics and are not factual claims, professional advice, or judgments about any real person. Only analyze chats you have a right to analyze.
Flagged is not directed to children. It is intended for users aged 17 and older, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
You are always in control of whether any data is sent: you can decline the AI verdict and keep the entire analysis on your device. Because we do not maintain accounts or store your chats or statistics on our servers, there is no account data for us to export or delete. You can stop using the app at any time and manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. To ask a question about your data, contact us below.
